His background in creating long lasting partnerships with some of the most innovative and disruptive companies in the world is ideally suited to supporting the executive team as they lead FMCI’s next phase of development.

Caolan Bushell, Non-Executive Chairman and VP Business Development at Mergon Group, commented:

“It is an immense privilege to chair a company like FMCI and I am very much looking forward to this new challenge. The world is seeing an upheaval in methods of transport and mobility not seen since humans transitioned from the horse to the automobile. FMCI has an unparalleled network of stakeholders and innovative collaborators with a huge desire to lead globally in areas like micro mobility, autonomous and connected driving, smart cities and vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. I believe FMCI can be an internationally recognized star in the future mobility space around which a local ecosystem can orbit and thrive.”

Russell Vickers, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of FMCI, commented:

"I am very pleased that Caolan has agreed to become our Non-Executive Chairman. We have worked well together in the 3 years that Caolan has been on the board, and his new role will be pivotal as we continue to attract disruptors and innovators to Shannon and develop FMCI as a global leader in the development of future mobility. I also want to pay tribute to our outgoing chairman, Robert Shorten, who did a fantastic job chairing the company through its initial start-up phase and helping to guide it successfully through the tumultuous pandemic period”.
