Hummingbird Aero International
Hummingbird Aero International (HBAI) is based in Shannon, one of Ireland’s leading hubs of aerospace engineering and manufacturing. It is dedicated to the research, design, and manufacture of flight control systems for both the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) sector including eVTOLs and legacy aircraft global market commencing with electromechanical actuation products.
HBAI was founded in 2022 as a partnership of Hummingbird Aero LLC, based in USA, a specialist in the design of flight control systems with three Irish partners, DPF Engineering, Shannon Precision and Realtime Technologies, who own and operate existing independent companies with significant manufacturing experience in high precision components and electronics.

Lero, the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Software
Lero is Ireland’s national software research centre. It brings together expert teams from higher education institutions across the country in a co-ordinated centre of research excellence. Lero partners with 3 of the top 10 technology companies in the world and collaborates with more than 90 businesses globally on projects which solve specific industry problems. Since its foundation in 2005, Lero has extended its focus beyond purely software engineering to embrace a more holistic software research agenda reflecting the needs of our industry partners.
Lero has significant expertise in the areas of blended autonomous vehicles and connected autonomous vehicles with numerous projects dedicated to this mobility space with multiple industry partners.
